Liquor Labels

One of my favorite things to do is go to the liquor store and pick out a bottle of anything based solely on the packaging...I've found that liquor bottles, wine bottles, and coffee tend to have the best and most interesting packaging designs.

Have you guys ever done that? I've wasted a lot of money and had some odd tasking drinks....but at least it looks nice, right? I guess that's what being obsessed with design and pretty things will do to you! ^^

Here is a collection of some of my favorites, all featured on The Dieline!

Zantsi Africa

7 Plagies

Plural Wine

10 Barrel Brewing Co.

Bogotá Beer Company

Blossa Mulled Wine

  2. I'm not at all ashamed to say I have done this exact same thing. I also love neat wine corks but luckily those are a happy surprise, not added reason to buy something I dont need ;-)

  5. I loove great package design too! The Bogota Beer labels are gorgeous...but my favorite has to be Absolut vodka (not to drink, just to admire of course!). I even collected their ads and bottles for years because I was such a fan :)

  8. Ah love the labels...especially the 7 Plagies ones!! I've done this before or have chosen solely by name. Last time I was at the wine store Cupcake Vineyards Red Velvet wine drew me in. I just couldn't resist the cutesy name...hehe. Luckily, it was pretty delicious!

  14. Um, is there a better way to buy wine? ;) I check out the wine aisle every time I'm at the store to look for interesting labels for gifts. My favorite so far is the layer cake brand for birthday bottles of wine!

Omg, I thought that I was the only one that does that! O_o
You can find some really good stuff there. Actually, I think that bottle designs and labels are a form of art! :)

But good design doesn't always come with good taste. :D

    Anyhow, lovely blog; following! :)

  17. Choosing things based solely on aesthetics is fun and exciting. I enjoy choosing a random new wine to taste each time. Some are good, some are bad, but it's the surprise that makes it interesting.

  19. I'm guilty of this too. I love pretty packages. I bought this wine called Gossip and the packaging is just soooooooooo cute. Much to my surprise it tasted pretty good too, it was a Moscatto and which they called Sweet Lips. Gossip never tasted sweeter! =)
